Les Carroz Village
Les Carroz is an historic and vibrant village within the Grand-Massif.
There are many bars and restaurants within the Village – ranging from cosy mountain eateries and gourmet restaurants serving Savoyard specialities including raclette, tartiflette and fondue, to those serving more contemporary cuisine.
Particularly popular après ski spots include the Marlow Bar and Le Yeti, both located in the heart of the village.
There are two wonderful bakeries that open early so you can collect fresh bread and pastries for breakfast each morning, as well as two great village supermarkets. Food deliveries can be arranged in advance from Super U in Magland, (at the bottom of the mountain). You can buy fresh and traditional produce at the weekly Savoyard market, which is held in the village every Tuesday, and Le Grenier Savoyard in the centre of town offers locally pre-prepared dishes. There are also many shops selling local cheeses, charcuterie and artisanal crafts.
Les Carroz Tourist Office puts on weekly entertainment programmes for visitors year-round, including activities for children during the school holidays. There is also a library and cinema in the village, as well as Club 74 night club.
If you need to relax, you can book a yoga class, or treat yourself to a massage and spend a few hours at the local spa.
The village also features a range of shops offering ski gear, outdoor clothing and souvenirs.
